Grocery stores in New England are a fascinating adventure. I've found 4 new brands of ice cream, a half a dozen local beers, and yes, canned bread (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000TA3QM/002-3296762-2283229?me=A11GH3L2XQ3R0U&v=glance&vi=similar-products&n=3370831).
I haven't been brave enough to eat the canned bread; usually, I just stare at it in the grocery store. The photo on the front actually shows the lines from the side of the can. Hopefully yankees just store this sort of thing in the pantry for blizzards.
